Just goes to show how insanely afraid the G Q P really is. They know they would never win another election if they can’t stop the ordinary public from voting. So their fear of fair elections leads to trying to stop, impede, or shut down the voting rights of all Americans.
Sitting here in my s**t**e country ( a la Trump, of course) watching the voting process play out, I can but shake my head in amazement, even disappointment. Thank heavens it doesn’t happen here! Vote blue, please.
Nebraska has been remarkably free from intimidation. I dropped my ballot in the box last week, and there was nobody around. The reports today are of a few minor glitches, and minor complaints of campaign signs too close.
In counties where they can get away with it (Maricopa et al.), Republicans are sabotaging equipment and, of course, blaming Democrats like they did in 2020. Surprised?
Republicans have to restrict voting if they want to stay in power. Case in point, in 2020 “President Donald Trump again pointed to higher turnout kneecapping his party. He said such a thing would lead to “levels of voting that, if you ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.””—https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/06/14/gops-increasingly-blunt-argument-it-needs-voting-restrictions-win/
In Pennsylvania the Red Wave turned into a pink piddle. This is the first time in 30 years that my polling place has not been congested with candidates just outside the door.

Hopefully, such ‘voter intimidation’ is not widespread.

Yep that sums it up in a nut shell, “some people don’t want some people to vote”

Here in PA,
I voted blue today.
Others preferred I vote red,
but I voted what they dread.
