There are a LOT of people who have with complete sincerity WISHED “this never happened”. Alas, there are far too many people who don’t clearly distinguish between wish and reality.

Some of Frank Luntz’s focus groups a few decades back revealed that the phrase “global warming” sounded scary to people, but “climate change” wasn’t so much; more like “yeah, yeah, weather tomoro’s gonna be a bit different than today, so what?”. So promptly all the Republicans, plutocrats, and right-wingers adopted the less worrisome wording, and the clueless Dems just went along with the flow. Well, time to turn the tables. I’m abandoning “climate change” and hereafter going with “climate crisis”. You should, too!

Innit funny how Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul’s ideas of legislation don’t hold water while their state does?

The USA is completely out of balance. Politically, socially, economically and the climate. Time to stop voting for the extremists, especially on the right.

Funny thing, Red ‘anti-socialist’ states are demanding Federal Assistance. They already take in more tax money than they pay out.

Climate scientists who have been studying the subject for decades now say that they didn’t expect the changes in the climate to get this bad for another 10-20 years. Ain’t life grand?

Rancid Rand Paul is whining and kvetching that Charles Booker, his Democratic opponent in the Senate Race in November, PERSONALLY drove a truck full of DONATED relief supplies, water and such, to Flood Victims in Kentucky. Rand thinks that “Politicians should stay out of the way, and let the professional relief agencies handle it”, and that the people in Eastern Kentucky need Money more then FOOD AND WATER!!! Hard to buy anything when ALL THE STORES HAVE BEEN FLOODED OUT JUST LIKE THE HOUSES!!

He complained about “Politicians using tragedies for photo ops”, while the article is accompanied with a “Photo Op” of Rand at the memorial for Tornado Victims in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Shown you just how much Rancid Rand REALLY cares about the people he is supposed to represent in "Con"gress. But, he IS a Republican, so what else were you expecting???

As more kids get shot, as more people are victims of droughts, floods and fires, as more Republicans deny veterans relief – maybe people will start voting Democratic to help themselves. Nah! Never gonna happen!

Medicare for All is socialist. Public schools, roads, mail service, etc are socialist. Anything the government does to serve the people is socialist. Socialism is a scary word for Republicans. It is necessary for Republicans to use scary words to convince their base that they should remain loyal, because if they actually understood that they are voting against their own best interests they wouldn’t be Republicans. They have been taught that socialism is scary. 1%er owned news outlets have been telling them so for about 40 years now. So, if they are told someone is socialist, they don’t educate themselves to find out exactly what they are supposed to be afraid of. It’s a pretty shaky system and it’s amazing that people have fallen for it long enough for the country be in the condition it is, but they have.

Yup, the Türd Reich should know all ‘bout junk science. Between the junk in their crackpipe and wanting to move the moon to improve the weather (Gohmert Pyle, US Moron Corps), asking about nuking hurricanes (attributed to Dolt .45 – which he denied. But then why does NOAA have a page explaining why it’s a bad idea?), and thinking that dreams about demons cause STD’s (their friend and advisor Dr. Stella Immanuel – and hoo boy, is she a wacko! Which in comparison to their mob is sayin’ an awful lot, isn’t it?) they’ve got a looooong history of junk.

It’d be laughable except that they’re constantly bringing up new idiotic claims and denials of legitimate science and research. They’re freaking dangerous!

There is 1 thing we can do. Eliminate the fiduciary laws that require companies to make as much money as possible for the stocks-holders.

Doing away with fiduciary requirement, would allow corporations the option of acting in a more socially responsible way
