I notice that republicans are resurrecting “Nationalist Christianity” as a rallying cry, as well.

This country was originally founded on an “animist” religion, and, frankly, I believe that that’s what we need to return to if we must have a religion in our midst, guiding our way – I personally don’t believe that the Jewish sect called “Christianity” is not a good fit in any way, shape or form.

Of course, the founding fathers were dead set on there not being ANY kind of religion as the base of our country and its laws, but if we MUST have a religion in place then “animism” works much more smoothly than something like “Christianity”.

The fascists and their bogus court appointments are altering the intent of the Constitution and Amendments to suit their tyrannical quasi-christian authoritarian theocracy.

What have they done to the once respected/honorable Republican party?

What’s really upsetting? Americans being fine with the status quo regardless of the politics of the party of the insane, and the party of the lame.

Sadly there DO seem to be more clowns in the GQP then real politicians who are willing to work towards the good of THE COUNTRY, as opposed to those who want to work for the good of THE PARTY (or their own bottom line) like The Velveeta Voldemort himself, and working further below the bottom of the barrel with goofs like Preacher Pence, MTG, Rafael Ooze, Gomer Ghomert, Haulin’ Hawley, Yertle McConshell, Rancid Rand, Killer Abbott, and on, and on, and on…

The Boberts, MTGs, of Congress obviously skipped grade school on the days they taught U.S. history and civics. They are saying the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation (it wasn’t) and that the federal government needs to be under the role of the (Christian) church. I honestly didn’t think they could get any more ignorant but I think they’ve ODed on stupid pills.

Trump’s gang of ‘malevolent nincompoops’ is on a collision course to face criminal charges

“It is really good probative evidence of the state of mind of the people who inhabited this conspiracy,” he said. “They knew that this was a big lie. They knew this was a fraudulent scheme, that they were seeking to perpetrate against the United States government. And so it is consistent with evidence the government would want to use in support of a potential charge of conspiracy to defraud the United States by fomenting false electors to sabotage the certification of the election results.”

We either take to left path or we go into disaster. There isn’t much time left to make that choice and act on it.

Pardon the repost, but here’s the Republican platform: Despite being in the minority, members of the SCOTUS, “Conservatives,” RWNJs, and white supremacists are attempting to drag this country back to their imaginary Jeffersonian agrarian idyl. The 1790 census (when Jefferson was Secretary of State), counted 5.3M Americans. Only white males owning 50 acres or more of land were permitted to vote, approximately 6% of the population. Free white men who did not own land, free white females, and slaves could not vote. In 1790 the American population was largely rural, making a living by farming. Our most recent census counted 332,403,650 Americans. Current estimates are that 83% of Americans live in urban areas. They do not work at farming. In pursuit of “small government,” the following are conservatives’ goals for their Jeffersonian America: 1. No women’s rights. 2. No civil rights for people of color, or for any other minority groups. 3. No immigration, other than Caucasians. 4. No labor unions. 5. No health insurance. 6. No legal recourse due to Republican-packed courts. 7. No social security. 8. No disability insurance. 9. No minimum wage. 10. No free and fair elections (ultimately, no elections). 11. Imposed state religion; government funding of religious schools. 12. Unregulated militias unchecked by Republican-packed courts. 13. No work on mitigating climate change; no environmental protections. 14. No free press. GOP politicians don’t care about the environment or mitigating climate change because they intend to stay permanently in office and use their money and power to take over remaining livable locations as environmental conditions worsen. Republican leaders don’t care if America dies as long as they can feed off the carcass for their lifetimes.

Why do you people who support today’s GOP, Trump, and Trump wannabes think that you will come out winners under this regime?

I’d like the toon better if it was an elephant at the crossroads. Plenty of Americans, as represented by Uncle Sam, don’t want culture wars. Seems a majority of GOP do.
