Generally you need to be bigger before you can do the message thing. Maybe not in the comics.

If Trent wants to move up in his business, he’ll have to stop addressing his clients as “Man” and “Babe”.

Otherwise, he’ll end up a loser—like Zeke Brenner!!

“Slave wages”. I’m not sure, and don’t quote me on this, (as if you would) but I don’t think slaves make wages. Slavery is evil. Low wages are tragic. Not the same. …..go

Since no one talks about the Uyghers anymore, I think this issue is dead

So let me get this right. She has a cousin who earns like $1 a day at a slave-labor job. And she doesn’t, I don’t know, send her $1 a day out of her pocket, to literally double her income? The first thought is to embarass a multinational company, and not to do right by her relative.

Hammer: Wages? Do you want to be wage slaves? Answer me that!

    Bellhops: No.

Hammer: No, of course not. But what makes wage slaves? Wages!

All those people who hired on to companies that were out to change the world, are beginning to find out that when profits are threatened they are now instantly replaceable widgets. Ask the folks as Tesla who just got laid off.

We had a steakhouse here in Madison, Wisconsin, that was co-owned by two guys with assertive personalities. Every business decision had to be arrived by agreement between the two of them. The drawback to such an arrangement was covered in a newspaper feature article about the restaurant’s problems with this memorable line: “They couldn’t agree on the time of day if there were only one clock in the world, and they owned it.”
