While the light and radiation from the sun travels at the speed of light (noted Mister Obvious) the explosive debris would travel much slower, not even one percent of the speed of light. Of course the light and radiation would be deadly enough.

Only to find it had mutated….

Perhaps a million monkeys with a million typewriters in a room for a million years could type the human genome? (Absurdity, isn’t it?)

You wouldn’t need a whole typewriter even…. the genome uses only ATC and G.

what if i typed 61 words a minute? and i guarantee we would know when the sun exploded

If the Sun blew up, we’d go right along with it in 8 minutes and 20 seconds…

It won’t blow up, but it sure will slowly expand. We as a race of people will be long long gone when that event comes about.

A man is sitting outside enjoying his morning coffee when he notices his neighbor jump off his horse, walk up behind her, lifts up her tail, and kisses her right where the sun don’t shine…

Curious, he walks over to his neighbor and asked him, “Excuse me Bob, did you just do what I thought you did?”

“What might that be?” his neighbor answers back.

“Well near as I can tell, it looks like you hopped off old Bessie here, walked up behind her, lifted up her tail, and kissed her right where the sun don’t shine!”

“Oh that. Well I have chapped lips” his neighbor answers back.

“Huh. Does that heal them?” he asks.

“No, but it sure keeps me from licking them.”
