Arlo, trust? Big leap of faith. How will it turn out?

At least it’s not “Let’s just be friends.”

Opening up the portfolio, very telling since art is the language of the soul.

Poor Janis always did have some slight self-confidence issues, but she is quite brave and more determined than she thought.

How much longer before we get to when Janis modeled in art class?

Forty five years and change. This timeline is set in 1975. The first mention of Janis even doing modeling was late 2020:

Started on Monday and only ran until Friday, with no peeks.

Uh oh…she said he makes her happy. She will learn years later that happiness comes from within.

I just love the sequence of events and the emphasis on “trust” as she’s handing him her most prized possession, other than her heart (sniffle).

It’s early yet. I bet she doesn’t know about his addiction to Black Sabbath.

Surprised by the “very.” That’s pretty reassuring for Arlo.

She’s taking a chance on old fuzzy lip. You think there will be more ups and down in this relationship arc?

The ironic aspect of the trust comment is that Janis turns out to be the one who is not trustworthy.

I remember when my husband told me “I love you” for the first time (after our 3rd date) and I told him “I like you very much”. It became our “thing” for the next 44 years. And yes, I did tell him I loved him, in about an hour after him :)

Showing someone your art is about the biggest leap of trust one can do.
