BA from Saint Louis University (old Billiken logo depicted)
Many years ago when I was in grad school for social work, I remember there was enough of an issue with students getting ahead of themselves and taking clients well before they graduated, that the administration had to put out a memo about not doing that.
Oh yeah, I hadn’t thought of how this year comes out in Roman numerals. Cool!
Greg’s breaking the fourth wall today…
To disagree with you is not to “hate” you. Have a blessed holiday.
For me, the fact that Greg gave this character his wife’s name suggests strongly that she’s not going anywhere, ever.
Not being able to see the problem is an integral part of the disease (which I have—but sober 34 years).
If you think Episcopalians are the only denominations to bless animals, you really need to get out more…
The fact that Greg chose to have this [almost] proposal happen on his 50th wedding anniversary tells me that Gunther and Bets are indeed going to go through with it. It would be odd to juxtapose such an important personal holiday on the cartoonist’s part with an event in the Luanniverse that doesn’t pan out. In effect, it would be wasting the opportunity to put an exclamation point on his and Betty’s own marriage by using Gunther and Bets, in effect, as avatars for themselves. My money is on wedding bells.
I believe the point was that MIT students were so geeky they would not have noticed a beautiful nude woman in their midst.
