My excuse was I have a cat on my lap!

I can’t do this. My cats rest on my head. No salvation!

You’ll just have to use a spell to wash the dishes.

A lap dragon?

I’m too lazy to do the dishes. That excuse didn’t work either.

Just go help with the dishes, it’s quicker and less painful in the end.

The trick is you should have gently levitated Henry up into your lap without waking him up. Wouldn’t every good wizard have known that?

Surely he should have some magic spell to clean the dishes without much effort.

There’s a tell-tail sign of a tale told.

In my house it’s called; get up and get youbutt out here to do dishes.

I’m old. My excuse was “That’s women’s work”. I know that doesn’t fly today but life was simpler back than and I would argue it was better.

Mrs cooks, I do the dishes and she dries. I cook, Mrs does the dishes and I dry. Simple enough.

She does the dishes, I do the laundry…

If Henry was a dog, I would let it slide. But he’s a dragon, so….. I’d still let it slide.

If Henry was actually on your lap, Wiz, you’d be squashed on the floor!

All you have to do is drop one, maybe two dishes and you’ll never be asked to wash dishes again. Pro Tip: Don’t try that with the baby to get out of changing diapers. Just leave the diapers loosely fastened.

Wiz found a way to get out of washing the dishes. If Henry put himself on Wiz’s lap, that would be funnier!

Three of our rescue dogs are purebred hounds weighing 60-70 pounds. All of them think they are lap dogs. We call it being hounded.
