I hope it works that way… and soon enough to minimize the bloodshed and the insane costs that Putin has put in process.

Putin has badly underestimated the Ukrainian resolve, the world reaction and has launched his own Bay of Pigs that is blowing up in his face. He wanted to weaken NATO and the European Union? He has made them more united than ever.

The Ukrainians are locked, loaded and ready for guerrilla street insurgency if their cities should fall, and in any cities that fall, the insurgency will make Afghanistan look like a picnic.

The Russian people are protesting in the streets by the hundreds of thousands. They can’t arrest everyone in Russia. People are lining up at ATMs that are running out of rubles, which have become worthless in any case. Even some of the OILigarchs are calling on Putin to stop the madness.

Even Switzerland — home of secret offshore tax shelters where all secrets are guarded — is freezing the “rainy day fund” Putin had squirreled away there.

Kyiv and other cities may very well officially fall, but Putin’s army will bleed a slow death in the streets of Ukraine, with no money for replacement arms, fuel or sustenance.

The whole world is against Putin. Well, except for the American extremist far right. Marjorrhea Traitor Greene was introduced at an event by neo-Nazi who noted that people were comparing Putin to Hitler, and ended with, “…as if that’s a bad thing.”

Joe doesn`t care about dead civilians in Ukraine. He only cares about climate change. He doesn`t care that the price of gas in the US is skyrocketing. Inflation is soaring and he blames climate change. The SOU address tonight will be all about climate change. He as well as Putin are mentally challenged.

Look: Putin has so MUCH blood on his hands already that the schools and hospitals his minions are bombing and strafing are—so far at least—only a tiny fraction of his lifetime total. (Obviously, his attacking civilians is contemptible—as is his illegal invasion itself—but it is perfectly in his lack-of-character.) He helped his fellow dictator and war criminal, Assad, massacre more than half a million Syrian civilians. Let’s say that Putin’s share of the slaughter was only 10% (no knowledgeable observer thinks it is that low). In other words, even before his illegal invasion of Ukraine, Putin was responsible for more than 50,000 murders. Anybody who can praise Putin is, quite simply, sick—and, of course, a traitor.

I wouldn’t waste a lot of time responding to АпСпэшал (that’s “OpSpecial” in its native Cyrillic). Especially don’t reply to any original comments from it, because that just enhances its chances of becoming the day’s featured comment, where it’ll be the ONLY one that 99% of the readers of this strip ever see.

How many times in the last decade do you suppose these words have been spoken within the Kremlin: “I do not know, Comrade Vladimir, that does not seem like good idea.”?

Surround yourself with nothing but yes-men and you soon drift off into the world where you believe you can do no wrong, because “never is heard a discouraging word”.

Putin didn’t do anything when Trump was President. Had to wait for Biden who, with Obama, stood by during the annexation of Crimea. He knew Biden would stand by. NO sanctions until invasion instead of imposing sanctions in March 2021 when 70,000 troops were moved to the border. Questionable if Germany would have been on board at that time though.

Putin underestimated the resolve of the Ukrainian people and Biden finally had to act. So happy for the worldwide condemnation, but it should have been nullified in 3/2021 before any troop escalations.
