They are not entitled to barricade a bridge and hamstring the economy of the entire continent.

The people who have had COVID-19 don’t matter to the republigoons and their servants /slaves. The people who have died from COVID-19 don’t matter to the republigoons and their servants/slaves. Truckers unions were not happy being associated with the minuscule group labeling itself as representing all Canadian truckers. A lot of the protesting truckers never drove more than a pickup truck.

They prevented other truckers from crossing the bridge and cost them money—and also cost many other people money. What is good about that? If they want to protest, they need to do it without hurting other people.

Strawman Bok strikes again. It’s not the Truckers everyone hates, it’s the destructive, ignorant and juvenile tantrums that in the end will cost those truckers their jobs and livelihood.

The protesters’ ACTIONS are unacceptable. They have a right to their views. They have a right to protest. They do not have the right to cost American and Canadian businesses tens of millions of dollars per day by blocking the border crossings.

Four arrested for conspiracy to murder Canadian police at convoy border blockade

‘It could have been deadly for citizens, protesters and officers’

Four men have reportedly been taken into custody following a plot to kill members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The individuals were arrested by the RCMP and Edmonton police after a two-week blockade of the Coutts border crossing with the US and Canada, which was closed by so called “freedom convoy” protesters.

Chris Carbert, 44; Christopher Lysak, 48; Anthony Olienick, 39; and Jerry Morin, 40, were identified as the four men charged with conspiracy to commit murder against the RCMP, who are known as Mounties, on Tuesday.

They were thought to be among 13 individuals arrested along with weapons at the “freedom convoy” blockade in Coutts since the RCMP and Edmonton Police intervened on Monday.

The Mounties, a federal police unit, said two of the men were arrested on a highway with weapons on Tuesday. They were the twelfth and thirteenth arrests to be associated with the closure of the Coutts crossing.

Someone is bankrolling those dudes. Possibly (as some have suggested) it’s just a surge of “go fund me” dupes, but rich “conservatives” have a history of bankrolling Astroturf movements. Seems clear now that some half of the necessary came from wealthy Canadians (they do exist), and a particularly big bag o’ long green came from American billionaire Thos. Siebel.

the Truckers’ VIEWS are (marginally) acceptable. The truckers’ BEHAVIOR in support of those views, not so.

The trucker’s strike is making more money for them than actually driving the trucks. Wealthy republicans mostly are using a Christian, wouldn’t you know it, go fund me site to raise money to support them. It’s a scam since a large majority of the people milling around for the cameras drove to the strike zone in a pick-up truck. A long article in today’s NYTs.

Their views aren’t the issue. It was blocking traffic to an indefensible degree that pushed Trudeau to finally end their stupid blockade.

The truckers “views” — actually they were demands — called for the Canadian Senate and the Governor General to dissolve the government and appoint a new administration from a list of people the truckers would supply.

All of that was constitutionally impossible under Canadian law. It was also, by the way, a demand for a fascist coup.
