The administration does seem to have dropped the ball on this. But I’ve also seen an explanation that the FDA was the actual critical path blocker, by not okaying any of the (other?) quick tests for use in the USA. And maybe the supply chain is sluggish for the allowed tests? It would be nice to hear more of the actual facts… but I doubt we ever will.

The Trump administration actually sought to SUPPRESS Covid-19 testing in the United States last year (a novel way to deal with a shortage in testing capabilities!)—a move that was widely criticized by public health specialists and politicians, who said testing asymptomatic people is an important part of identifying and cutting off the chains of spread.

Good thing I didn’t bet yesterday we’d see another vehicle AND a bumper sticker, but I can’t see the bumper, so I may have been correct . . . /S

Gee, didn’t read, just the other day, that two more rapid tests were approved and there’s another easily manufactured, not patented vaccine available (everywhere except the USA, which is where it was developed).

Why would Biden want to invest in COVID tests?

In a week will be the anniversary of the verification and certification that Trump lost the 2020 election.

LOL, at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the Former Guy was still in “executive time” doing nothing constructive.

We will spend billions of dollars so every worry wart can get tested on a daily basis (on the taxpayers dime), and 2 months from now they will come to the conclusion those tests aren’t all that accurate, and should not be relied on.

Recipe for Payne cartoon: add 3 cups of poor sportsmanship, 1 cup of Faux News, and 1 Tsp of bitter lairs. Half bake at whatever temperature you feel like for as long as you like. After cooling, sprinkle with fresh rat turds. Ta da! :-D
