You needed to shovel the sidewalk anyway Earl. Getting a Christmas card from your chiropractor and hurting your back while doing it. Well that’s just luck of the Irish.
When I was a kid, the dentist gave us a piece of hard sugar candy after each visit. My parents always gave him a hard time about drumming up more business…
USPS has a site where you sign up and daily they email you a pic of what is coming in the mail. It has saved me a lot of long walks for nothing. I will really appreciate it when the snow comes.
All my bills are paid on line so I get mostly junk.
The post office here is exasperating! One day they deliver @ 10:00 am and the next it’s after 6:00pm….I want to scream when I have something to mail and they don’t pick it up…sometimes if I have no incoming mail, they pass my house…and don’t get the outgoing mail….AAAAKKK
I have a small electric snow blower. Works well and hardly need a shovel. For larger storms, I have to use the gas one still. Thinking about getting a small battery operated one, great for small jobs.
I read that there are a LOT of heart attacks happening when old people are shoveling snow. Where is that son-in-law? Or even the daughter? I think they live next door.
I get my mail once a week. It sits at the post office and whenever I am out, I can pick it up. I guess it depends on where you live that determines on how much fun it is to get your mail, whether you have the mail come to a mailbox by your door or in a mailbox by the road whereas the mail person doesn’t have to get out of their truck.
I was living in the Midwestern US. While retrieving the mail one snowy day my feet slipped out from under me and I landed flat on my back. While lying slightly dazed in the slush a beautiful thought struck me: the job I had could be done from anywhere. That was 25 years ago, and I have been enjoying a snow free life in Southern California ever since. (And before anyone starts spouting flames, I know that the option to relocate is not available to everyone, I was just in a lucky situation.)
When I was shorter than the shovel my parents got me a child-sized snow shovel. Mom would send me out to clear the sidewalk. It was playing in the snow for me.

Earl needs an ergonomic shovel and learn how to shovel using his legs not his back.Makes a big difference.

In all seriousness, please don’t shovel. Killed my dad, who was supposedly in excellent health, at age 61.

Chiropractors Conference: Now before we adjourn does anyone have a suggestion how we can get more patients?
mistercatworks over 2 years ago
I’m sure there are good chiropractors out there but the only time I went to one, he changed a lower back pain into a upper back pain for only $40.
