It was an opportunity to fold laundry (that’s a Monday job anyway), rake some needles out of the yard, work on a programming issue… and read GoComic as well as some other sources of enlightenment, information, humor or angst.

I read the news “paper,” a book and watched JEOPARDY.

My plans to amass an invasion of Atlantis was thwarted.

I noticed Facebook was “incommunicado” for a while when it was reported on the news that evening.

I haven’t been on Facebook since 2017 after it was reported that Facebook and Zuckerberg were in the pocket of the Kremlin in aiding Trump to win election.

I make it a point to NOT support America’s enemies if I can help it (which is ALSO the reason I continue to actively oppose Trump and the G.O.P.)

Facebook is, in my opinion a totally unnecessary EVIL.

Yes, life goes on, happily… in fact!

If it wasn’t for the news and all these cartoons, I would have never noticed.

I’d rather face towards a book than Facebook any day.

From the increasing number of negative comments, I begin to wonder if the digital revolution isn’t beginning to backfire on its developers. Time spent on pda’s to the exclusion of one’s surroundings, Intrusive apps, data theft, ads designed for you, one’s info for sale but no bucks for in return, etc. Alexa, Siri, other snoops to gather one’s home life in a digital bundle to be stored outside one’s control. The amorphous but porous cloud storage.

Don’t see a lot of human values in the mix, but see the value of humans withering.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise, Look up from your Handheld , there is a Brave new world out there !

Real people never use Facebook, only losers use Facebook.

I might have been one of 10 people on the planet who did not notice that Facebook was down. I might have been one of 5 who didn’t care.

Quick! Give that lady a red pill.

I honestly did not even notice till I saw it on the news.

It would not bother me if facebook disappeared forever

Bet that came as a real surprise to some. ~5 whole hours and you survived it. Bet they are already making a movie about the terror it created in the land.

Heard about it on the news but didn’t much care as I’ve never signed up for facebook.

Do people really spend that much time on fakebook?

I didn’t even notice it until the “crisis” was over.

I no longer need to worry about it.

Facebook cancelled my membership for “Violating Community Standards” when I posted a link to a 40 year old Pete Seeger / Arlo Guthrie song.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc. Never used it, never will.
