While the court of public opinion is fraught with defects, I don’t hold the conventional court in much higher standing. All jingoist declarations of how we have the best legal system in the world, yada yada, is so much horse puckey. The more money a defendant has, the longer it takes for justice to be rendered; there’s nothing fair or just about such an arrangement.
