Why should dad get rid of his phone because his son wants to be a jerk?

Now’s the time for a very serious talk about how important it is to be able to get in touch with someone during an emergency.

And since Baldo doesn’t want to answer his phone, he shouldn’t be allowed to have one!

I have two nephews who can’t be contacted by any way I know. I also have a friend my own age who is also impossible to contact. I ask about it and he can’t provide a good answer. I’ve missed his calls by seconds and call back and I get voice mail!! It is like he shuts his phone off unless he makes a call!

Keep the phone. Not everyone is an idiot.

What Baldo really means is: I don’t answer your calls or read your texts.

When you’re Baldo’s age, you don’t know, and you don’t know you don’t know.

Sergio threw the wrong phone away. Baldo shouldn’t be allowed to have one if his dad can’t use it to contact him.

Feh! Who pays the bill?

Baldo’s phone is so useful. It takes pictures, plays games, plays music, has Facebook, Twitter, etc. etc. Why would he use it for anything else, like PHONING???

And, in the unpublished sixth panel, a sports agent appears and offers Sergio an NBA contract after making that fantastic shot! d;o)

Or maybe Papi should take his phone and ground him for ignoring his parent.

Customize the ring and text tone on Baldo’s specifically for Papi. This would then let him know his father is calling or texting.

Because most of the calls these days are from SCAMMERS.

If we are talking about a smartphone, then it is really a small computer/camera that has the ability to also make phone calls and send texts. I would say making/receiving phone calls is not one of the most used functions of mine.

It’s Baldo’s phone that should be impounded.

Sounds like he doesn’t need a phone. My daughter pulled something similar to that once, I took the phone. When she got it back a couple of weeks later the problem never happened again.

He’s not going to have a job for long if his boss can’t reach him.

My pet peeve is those who call you back without first listening to the voicemail you left.

I only have one to call a taxi if I need one. I first got it when my sister was at home in bad shape, to check up on her, while I was out grocery shopping. I do not drive. Now she’s in a nursing home.

And computer data including the few photos are not stored “in the cloud” aka someone else’s hard drive, but on USB flash stick drives with multiple backups onto same and external hard drives (none of which are kept attached to computer when not being actively used).
