At least the store has a bench. So you can rest while waiting for her.

Once, instead of waiting, I grabbed some food at a next door sushi place. I wasn’t very attentive to prices, just did the point at the picture thing. The food was great. Yikes! The bill was nearly $80. Needless to say I don’t get requests to ‘take me to the fabric store’ anymore.

My #2 sister used to work in a fabric store. When she moved to Tucson, she hauled over a ton of fabric. That was 1974, I suspect most of the fabric has rotted by now.

My wife’s favorite fabric/yarn store is next door to Harbor Freight. “Look around as long as you want, babe. I’ll be right next door.” Bwahahaha!

Or shopping for a new outfit(s). There should be a law that all stores that women will shop in must have chairs for the husbands or boyfriends.

I must give credit to my (former) wife. She was one of those rare “know what you’re going for, then get in, get out” women shoppers.

First Mrs had a paycheck recycling program. She worked at the fabric store. Most of the paycheck went into fabric. Current Mrs is shoes. Can’t have too many shoes!

A male Plugger would never drag his wife (but would take her if she wanted to go) to a hardware store, Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight, big box home center, etc. But he might forget to mention one of his solo side trips was going to be to WoodCrafters or the exotic wood lumber yard.

I look for what I want in the store and don’t find it and then continue to follow my husband around the fabric store for at least another 45 minutes before we can leave.
