False comparison. The one on the left is talking the talk, but there’s no “walk” there at all. The one on the right is acting like they act, but they would NEVER actually say such things.
Rethugican sound bites and double speak. Lip service to democracy is fine until those ungodly brown people get “uppity” and want to exercise their “rights”.
And now the miami-CANF-fascists are flying to DC to pressure US of A, again, to do “something”. Like 60 years of unjustified starvation and strangulation is nothing. The RWNs can’t wait to send rubio down there as their new batista clone… and rape Cuba all over again!
“Stay out of business business” Republicans in Arkansas passed a law forbidding any business from requiring employees to be vaccinated. In Arkansas, a hotbed of coronavirus. Unbelievable.
The U.S. should have fought communism in Cuba by trying to establish trade relations and showing the Cuban people what they were missing. They should have allowed communications with those who fled to the U.S. and their relatives back in the Cuba for the same reason.
It’s a continuation of the Gop “Toilet Paper” strategy, where they act like they give a crap about democracy, equality, women’s rights, poverty, and other liberal issues over there, when of course they never give a crap about them here.
Once again, a cartoonist is self-censoring himself. Yes, yes, I see the Confederate flag (the symbol of traitors to the United States), but I don’t see any swastikas (the symbol of traitors to the human race.). Yet, the day that shall live in infamy (January 6th, 2021, when a mob of traitors stormed the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow our democracy) was FULL of swastikas. Of course, Rogers isn’t the only cartoonist self-censoring. I’m waiting with bated breath for Clay Jones to put a swastika on Trump’s sippy cup. Just for the historical accuracy, you understand.
Prior to Jan 6th, I was an independent voter who could vote for D, G, L or R candidates. For the remainder of my life, I will be an independent voter who votes for D, G or L candidates.

The Republicans don’t want democracy anywhere, but they do like to pretend to want it in places that aren’t their kind of fascism.

Being the party of business and Capital, I don’t believe they support ‘free’ anything.
