So the Taliban are the Christlike side in the Afghan civil wars?

The shoe does not fit. The Afghans that helped us, help them are not traitors. They are patriots that wanted a better country to raise their children in without fear.

The Taliban are the traitors in Afghanistan.

So … the Taliban are Jesus personified? That’s really an outrageous concept, even for Ted Rall! After the Western forces leave, heads will roll — literally.

If Britney Spears finishes her vacation in time for the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, maybe she can modify her song, “Oops, I Did It Again” for the Congress Chorus to sing as “Oops, We Did It Again.” They can do a “Sing Along With Mitch.”

Isn’t there some old proverb about sleeping with the devil.. America’s “word/promises” only apply when/if it benefits America.

Rand Paul is comfortable with the impending slaughter of the Afghans that aided our troops.

hmmm……………don’t worry the Taliban wouldn’t be whacking all of us, starting with Theodore, if they had their way.

So Ted, is your position – Snitches get stitches? That they have it coming? It kind of seems that way.

Clearly Theodore has never been in the army. Staff sergeants don’t wield such authority. You have to be sergeant first class.

The Afghanis who worked with and fought along side of U.S. forces against the terrorist harboring Taliban are Afghanistan patriots. Biden announced they will not be abandoned. Our own soldiers call them “brother”, not “30 pieces of silver” traitors.

You guys are missing the point. Rall is calling the Afghans that supported the US traitors to their country.

Our government treats the Afghans and our veterans as disposable. Unfortunately for the Afghans many will face an outcome which will be much worse.

Really? I don’t think our troops view the interpreters, dedicated host nation security forces, and local leaders that openly worked with US military as “traitors that took money from the American devil”. Then again, maybe you’re right, we are the devil in sheep’s clothing with false promises.

What Afghanistan really needs is better Gun Control, without AK-47’s with banana clips it would be a peaceful place. Oh and knife & sword control like England because the Taliban respects laws they won’t skin them alive.

Australia is slow to act in this regard as well. Then again, the current Federal government here is slow to act with most things. They weren’t slow to react when a computer programme told them the poorest of the poor were ripping off the welfare system (whilst at the same time bolstering middle class welfare through subsidies for private education, childcare etc.), then went slow again when it was proved beyond doubt that many of those who the computer said owed money, didn’t and should get a refund. The way we have treated the interpreters is atrocious. “The evacuations come amid backlash towards the federal government about the speed at which visa applications were being processed after it was announced its sudden closure of the Australian embassy in Kabul ahead of US forces withdrawing in September.” https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jun/26/about-80-afghan-interpreters-given-visas-and-flown-to-safety-in-australia

Rall may be a bit off-base here: since when is fighting to keep a mob of ideological gangsters from taking over your country “treason”? Is it because they got American assistance – just as Americans got French assistance during the Revolutionary War?
