That COULD just be “geriatric ears”. Spouse and I have reached the point where if we REALLY NEED a cogent response, we send email. Or stand facing each other in a quiet space and speak slowly and clearly.

Very good listener and that was why so many of my friends both boys and girls would come and tell me stuff and ask for my help; which I gave and got lots of kudos back from them for helping so much.

There’s a significant difference between “listening” and “hearing.” At my age, I can get away with saying, “Oh, I heard you well enough. I’m just ignoring you.”

I always thought it humorous when, on dating sites, someone listed “good listener” as one of their positive virtues. My cat is a good listener; so is a fence post.

There is a difference between HEARING and LISTENING.

When comes to Opal not listening.
