The thing about being a dad is that we get so much, we share the joy and pains of our children as they grow into adults. Then if we have done our job well, we get the best reward of all. . . . . being GRAND PARENTS!!!! My job is to fill the grandkids with chocolate, buy the noisiest toys I can find. . . . and give them back. My son asked me one time: “Dad, why do you do this? Son, its simple, REVENGE!!”
I’m of the carefully considered opinion that Covid gave us a gift that few are acknowledging or even recognizing. A chance to slow down, stop racing blindly, be honestly introspective, consider who we are, observe what we’ve done and are doing, and most of all, think.
