Better yet, back in ’94 we had snowstorms every week for about a month. My door locks froze and I had to unlock the hatch to gain entry.

I have to lower the window to close the door on my old mustang. If you pull on the inside door handle, the entire door liner comes off.

Or to roll the window down to get in or out of the car.

    (because the door won’t open)

Had this twice on our Kia, passenger side, then driver’s. The inside door handles snapped off. Special order … warehouse was flooded. After three weeks the part came in, installed, and two days later the cable inside the door snapped. Second round, I had the cable replaced at the same time.

A Plugger would be using a crank handle… Power Windows are a rich man’s option…

Kinda related – My mom locked the keys in the car once with the engine running. She was in downtown Washington DC. We lived in Northern Virginia at the time. She called my dad on a pay phone to bring her the spare key. While she was waiting, she discovered the back doors were unlocked. So what did she do? She locked the back doors so when my dad got there, she had to use the spare key to get the door open. She never told him the back doors were unlocked. LOL

Heck, if you actually “roll” down a window you are a plugger.

Found out the hard way, on vacation, that my drivers side door lock would not unlock with the key and would not turn back far enough to get the key out. Solution was to remove the camper shell key, unlock that and get a bungee cord, and snag the door handle on the passenger side. After that I kept a second key on the ring. And yes, it happened several more times. Sold it like that. It went to Mexico…………………….

…and that is why when I bought my last car, I insisted on roll-down windows and manual locks on the doors. Not perfect, but if the electrical system goes on the fritz, I can still get out or work the windows.
