But how did you get it to rain without washing the car?

I’ve been known to put on my swimsuit and soap up the car during a soft warm summer rain. Guaranteed to dry spot-free!

We lived close to the railroad tracks. Everybody lived close to the railroad tracks.

I didn’t think I was poor as a kid… but we would do that.

My dad always said the best time/way to get lovebugs off your windshield was to wait for a good rain, then pour a 16oz bottle of Coke over it. The rain would prevent the acid in the soda from messing up your paint job.
