Abbot says that the state is going to allow  all kinds of wild and utterly crazy behavior, but he expects  people to do what they know is best. He is very clearly an idjit.

    Texas’ wounds are self inflicted.

And, of course, they want handouts.

    Because rugged individualism.

Nice: kill off the most vulnerable in the name of “freedom”. Looks like voter suppression in a Nazi way.

Just as Neanderthals faded out and were replaced by Homo Sapiens, hopefully those leading states and still espousing Neanderthal views on COVID-19 experience the same.

Will we get another famous Texan “OOPS” in a couple of weeks?

So, in the next couple of weeks, will we see any news reports from Texass about people who still choose to wear a mask BEING PHYSICALLY ATTACKED by low-watt goobers who DEMAND that they remove their masks because they think that they are now “AGAINST THE LAW”???

    Even though they aren’t…

Abbott is doing his damnedest to divert the public’s attention from yet another Texas GOP Leadershit blunder, i.e., the breathtakingly absurd and grotesque Texas power grid screwup. How many have died? How many will die? How many have lost their belongings, even their homes? The hypocrisy, arrogance, venality, incompetence, corruption, and mendacity of the Texas GOP Leadershit is mind–bogglingly fraudulent. Abbott et al. keep moving the shells, hoping voters will never, ever find the damned pea.

It takes 3 Texans to eat an armadillo because one of them has to watch for traffic.

Ted Cruz, Greg Abbott and Rick Perry are stranded on a desert island. Who survives?

    Texas.

Sign along a Texas road, as related by Texas native, CBS’s Bob Schieffer, about 55 years ago:

Fine for hitting an armadillo: $10.00

Fine for hitting a Republican: $5.00

This cartoon says it all. Because of Abbott’s insane decision, I’m going to have to self-isolate even longer than I had hoped. Sadly, a lot of Texans think this is a great thing. When I read some of the comments about this in The Houston Chronicle online, it appeared that about half were anti-maskers. One said that if one continued to wear a mask, he/she was probably a Marxist! Lord, help us.

I left this comment for another cartoon, but I think it bears repeating. The following is a headline from “The Onion.” Covid Announces Plan To Move Operations To Texas Full-Time To Escape Burdensome Regulations." ’Nuff said.

Little known fact even where armadillos live is why so many die on the road. You can pass over it, not hit it, and it will still die. They have “sensor hairs” on their backs, and if those are disturbed, like by a swiping paw or a car going over, their escape pattern is to jump straight up to startle the predator, and then hit the ground running. Sometimes works with bobcats, never does with cars.

Abbott has been on a campaign to see how many Texas residents he can kill through his incompetence.

Does anyone want to take odds that the number of assaults on mask wearers by the mask deniers will substantially increase with this insane declaration?

Here in South Carolina our Governor has decided to follow in the tracks of Texas, he is loosening Mask regulations (not that there are any state wide ones since he refused to do that from the beginning), those in various cities, as he begs people to be responsible and use common sense.
