That is going to be the #1 selling headstone for the foreseeable future.
Masking is going to be a political statement for a very long time to come…to mask or not to mask. Personally, I think it’s all about whether or not you actually care about your community, your fellow humans. Those who mask care about their families and care about their community….those who don’t mask care about no one, not even themselves. IMHO, those are the ones who are perfectly matched with their cult leader. Too bad KARMA and Darwin’s selective awards move so slowly.
Hmmm—magical thinking or fact-based science? Me, I prefer going with the odds, which tell me that I’m less likely to die if I wear a mask. I’ve got KN95s which, according to the CDC, are quite effective, and (according to me) very comfortable. As for those who refuse to wear a mask, I refuse to get anywhere near them, and will leave them to their own stupid (and possibly fatal) devices … Natural Selection in action.
What I have never liked is how the media and other sources always put so much emphasis on how many people have died from COVID and not giving us some inspiration on how people have recovered!
Well! If “you know WHO” hadn’t made it a political thing, we wouldn’t be where we are today! Almost half the country rebelled and followed his (UN-)lead! Should’ve would’ve, could’ve!
The UI’s (unmasked idiots) own the sidewalks now. Those of us who wish to avoid them have to step off to the side in order to distance from an approaching group of them walking side by side.
Clay, can you draw another one saying “I shouldn’t have smoked”? If you would be willing to draw a bunch of us commenters around it dancing- that would be amazing.
It was sad hearing reports about people who died due to COVID-19 telling their heirs that they wished they hadn’t believed that it was just a hoax… even sadder to hear that it’s still happening…
Such a tombstone is more likely above the corpse of someone who was infected by someone who REFUSED to wear a mask in a store or elsewhere; who infected a trusting family member; who infected someone in a pigheaded church, synagogue, or mosque congregation. Whoever failed to do all that s/he could have done, regardless of WHY they acted irresponsibly, is, at the very least, guilty of manslaughter, not only of the first person they infected who died, but also of those who were subsequently infected and died as part of the ripple effect. There are self-righteous murderers among us, murderers who readily wear shirts and shoes in stores, who wear a swimsuit at a public pool or beach, who insure their vehicles as the law requires, who do all the things our local, state, and federal laws require to preserve our nation’s political and economic fabric, but who refuse to wear a one-ounce mask to prevent the spread of the deadly Covid-19 virus because doing so “violates” their liberty and freedom, i.e., their freedom to infect anyone and everyone who happens to cross their toxic path. They have blood on their hands and they’re so pigheaded that they refuse to acknowledge their culpability, even to themselves.

VERY unfortunately, that memorial should read “Oh if only THEY had worn a mask”.
Though it’s true that the mask helps the wearer … some.

How about this? I wore a mask, but the other people didn’t. Apathy and stupidity rule the day. This virus isn’t going anywhere for a long time.
