That’s what he gets for putting jumper cables on his ears.

Kinda depends on what’s “new”. If it’s “like” other stuff, then we can put it in a category even if it’s also new, and that category might be normal or not. On the other hand if it cannot be categorized, then it’s by its very nature not normal, right?

Reading old books is one thing, but a nine-year-old that knows of and enjoys Pat Methany, that would be amazing.

I love Pat Metheny’s music! I’ve been to three of his concerts.

think that’s a normal progression in my music listening and I still listen to the Beatles and Pat Metheny… who by the way has a great new album out!

“Experiment with the jumper cables” sounds like the new “noodle incident”.

Things become normal about halfway through becoming habitual.

While I enjoy the exchanges between these two, it appears Mallett has spent so much time with Frazz/Caulfield, it must now seem normal not to include other characters. Lots more normal going on in schools these days.

Just wait for a Jesus image on the toast and it’ll be a religous miracle.

Start selling those toasts on eBay, claiming that they’re spontaneous images of either Jesus or Mary. Doesn’t matter if it looks more like Pat Methany, say it’s Jesus. There are nutjobs who will buy them.

Frazz is often a little too Zen for my comprehension, but this is quite droll. The whole faces in toast thing is a bit much—not too long ago a recognizably female face was (inevitably) swiftly pronounced to be an image of the Virgin Mary, even though it looked an awful lot like Marlene Dietrich. Which would be marvelous enough.

I’m pretty sure that is practically the definition of the difference between new and normal.

I thot the New Normal was the guy who replaced George Wendt on Cheers.

“Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just part of the way the world works. Anything that’s invented between when you’re 15 and 35 is new and exciting and revolutionary, and you can probably get a career in it. Anything invented after you’re after 35 is against the natural order of things.” —Douglas Adams

    What’s new isn’t (yet) normal.

    What’s normal isn’t new (anymore).

I’ll be 67 this year. I never saw the Beatles in concert. I did see Pat Metheny when he played with Gary Burton and with the Pat Metheny Group [see the white album]. Both shows were in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Great times!

That does look kind of like Pat Metheny, too.
