As far as Supes being damaged by this impact, it has been established that the Kryptonian is vulnerable to magic. [See also: Mr. Mxyzptlk.] And given Nick’s powers and abilities, there’s clearly underlying magical forces at work here.

Maybe the glasses he wears as Clark Kent aren’t just a disguise.
