In the last four years, Trump has managed to dismantle or destroy a great deal of not only Obama’s legacy, but all of the previous USA democratic historical legacy.
The damage done amounts to more than just a little chip off the base. More like rubble fields as far as the eye can see. Economy, Environment, Human/Civil/Racial Rights, Education, Civics, basic Democracy. The devastation is immense.
The gleam of a silver lining to these dark storm clouds is that Trump has managed to do equally large amount of damage to “his” own party – mostly by remaking the once-proud Republican party over into the Party Of Trump – a party that embraces the worst of white supremacist right wing milita KKK domestic terrorists, delusional wack-job alt-reality Qwacked up conspiracy theorists, and a complete divorce from objective reality.
It will take what is left of a reasonable conservative movement decades to purge themselves of the worst part of the Trumpians and rebuild the good name of the party – and in that time the Democrat party should be able to shore up their control of Congress sufficiently to repair the extensive damage that Trump and the Trumpublicans have wrought over the last four years.
Hahaha,..the petty spiteful little man couldn’t make a dent in the pedestal that a real president occupies. The dRumpth will occupy the trash bin of history…but President Obama’s legacy will endure and stand as an example of what a good man can accomplish against all odds…..
Why do we allow those who wish to demolish rather than build a civilization to have power which brings chaos/division instead of order/consensus which would make our republic grow/prosper?
Trump and his gang of rapists, looters and pillagers have undone EVERYTHING they could of Obama’s legacy. AND they’ve undone as much as possible of everything else that I personally liked about the federal government: Regulations? Reduced. Safety of food, air, water and medicines: Stripped. Science: They just this week promulgated a regulation requiring scientists in the federal system to remain their for only a limited amount of time. National land? (various rights) Sold to the highest bidder (and note that SOME of the bid was baksheesh directly to Trump).
Breaking News: Trump has now met with “The Pillow Man” for his opinions on how to declare Martial Law and also asking Steve Bannon once again for his advise today with only 5 days left in office. Late Friday Night news dump as usual.
There should be three pedestals, Bush on one side, Trump on the other. Obama’s should stand just like that, with one chink knocked out, while Bush’s and Trump’s should be piles of rubble. Maybe Trump’s should have thumbs up hand sticking out of it.
Trump must know he will easily hold the spot as worst president in American history and that his businesses and finances are in tatters. His children will carry his name as an indelible stain. Endless legal actions and a series of tell-all books will plague him for years to come. He’s put the country through four years of non-stop, divisive turmoil and is about to get a taste of it himself.
