Snoopy, it’s time for your flying ace memoir, they would never shoot that down!

That shouldn’t happen to a dog.

Keep on trying Snoopy. I seemed to remember that around the time this strip first came out, 1974, someone made a fortune selling “pet rocks”. So anything can happen Snoopy.

I recently read a book that was so bad I left a two-star review on Amazon. I have only one reason for giving it two stars: In the remote chance that I read another book by the same author, I want to have room to give a lower rating.

The publisher’s way of saying: “… and the horse you rode in on …”

You may want to write the next story using an alias, Snoopy!

Well, now, that’s what I call brutal. It’s time for Snoopy to find another publisher.

Go have some ice cream, Snoop. Ice cream will chase away all those feelings of rejection. And a few other let downs.

There was a ‘Pearls Before Swine’ where Rat got a sarcastic ‘acceptance’ letter for his stories. Opposite thing here.

Maybe I’m wrong, but doesn’t Snoopy usually excel at all he does and always come out on top? This is not the way his life usually unfolds…

My next article is coming out in the summer edition of the state bar journal. Sorry, no punchline. Just self aggrandizing.

With all these slips piling up, Snoopy’s surely the toughest dog writer in the universe

How many rejections slips did J. K. Rowling receive before a prescient editor saw the potential in her books about someone named Harry Potter?

I know the feeling about the rejections. Several came in by using a sticky-note rather than a letter. I’ve stopped submitting but continue to write because I enjoy doing so.

Keep submitting, Snoopy. There once was a lady who wrote a very long book that was rejected by almost 40 publishers before someone took a chance. That book, Gone With The Wind, went on to become the second most popular book in America (after the Bible.)

Amusing way of rejection! The publishing house is no good cause most of the best authors had similar rejections before they achieved stardom. Another steeping stone Snoopy!
