Seriously? Mitch McConnell, who couldn’t wait to REDISTRIBUTE middle class wealth to the few richest elites who already have the most (and certainly did not “need” more) in the form of tax giveaways and corporate welfare, is suddenly worried about the possibility that somewhere, someone (other than his very wealthy elitist cronies and donors) might get something thing don’t need?
Seriously? The Majority Leader of the Senate did not understand that the relief checks don’t go out to any individual with income over $75,000 (couples filing jointly with incomes over $150,000).
Clearly McConnell is incompetent, or dishonest, or more likely both.
Yeah. When I saw him say that I just about swallowed my dentures… and I don’t have dentures. It had to be 100% posturing, since his actual policy is exactly to put borrowed money into the hands of the obscenely over-rich.
I suspect we will never be free of the ‘Judeo-Christian’ ethic. It goes like this:
God rewards the righteous. Therefor, if someone is not doing well, they are not righteous (in the past giving rise to ‘work houses’ where debtors were put to work and given ‘moral therapy’). Giving anyone a hand up is tantamount to aiding and abetting sin, and is therefor a sin in and of itself.
All that, of course, is founded on the false premise that the individual and the individual alone is the factor in any suffering – that there are no such things as bigotry, shortfalls in the educational system, international finance, and fate itself.
Mitch may be completely devoid of any human compassion, concerned with advancing the goals of the Republican party and having no interest in the United States or its’ people, and somehow apparently managed to either be born with no soul or have murdered it over the years, but to say he is incompetent is, unfortunately very inaccurate.
Republicans gave rich people one billion in tax cuts every year for 3 three years pushing our debt to the highest its ever been. Then they stole all the PPP money for covid recovery. They did nothing for the country over 4 years.
Notice as you scroll down the article, Moscow Mitch says nothing about the House Majority Leaders’s experience.
Mitch McConnell’s Louisville home hit with spray paintBY KARLA WARDJANUARY 02, 2021 02:29 PM, UPDATED 3:31PM
The Louisville home of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was vandalized with spray paint Saturday.
The words “weres (sic) my money” were painted in white on the front door of the red brick home, and other messages were painted in red and white across the front.
The graffiti on McConnell’s house in the Highlands was an apparent reference to McConnell’s decision not to act on $2,000 pandemic relief checks.
“I’ve spent my career fighting for the First Amendment and defending peaceful protest. I appreciate every Kentuckian who has engaged in the democratic process whether they agree with me or not.“ McConnell said in a statement. “This is different. Vandalism and the politics of fear have no place in our society.
“My wife and I have never been intimidated by this toxic playbook. We just hope our neighbors in Louisville aren’t too inconvenienced by this radical tantrum.”
The Louisville Metro Police Department said the incident happened at about 5 a.m., WLKY reported.
The Republican Party of Kentucky issued a statement on Twitter Saturday afternoon, saying “Vandalism is reprehensible and there’s no place in our politics for acts like this. Kentuckians deserve better and the Democrats should join us in condemning this act of vandalism.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home in California was reportedly vandalized Friday by someone who left a pig’s head at the house and tagged the garage door with spray paint. —End
Or, since he has another six years locked down, just doesn’t care who gets hurt. Not saying he did before, but he made occasional mouth noises like he did.
Moscow Mitch can say anything he wants. He was re-elected for six years and will not run again . . . except run out of the country with all the money he’s stuffed in his pockets .

How about a little compassion for the rich? Any idea how much it costs to maintain four or five houses? Not even talking about the yacht or the jet.

One sometimes wonders whether Mitch is one of the reptile people that the Nashville bomber was so upset about.
After all, he is cold-hearted and resembles a turtle.
Well, turtles are cuter, of course.
(and no, I am not calling for his murder — that’s a trumpian tactic)
