Now the brothers have to build another trebuchet to fling the snow off the neighbors’ yards.

We have a huge one of those in Western New York. The locals call it “Lake Erie.”

Isn’t trebuchet just a fancy word for catapult? Anyhow if I was Dad I’d be a bit sore at the neighbors for lobbing the snow onto my walkway…..

Dill’s brothers are the off camera; or off panel equivalent if you will; of Howard’s mother, Mrs.Wolowitz on the Big Bang, Maris Crane on Frasier, Carlton the doorman on Rhoda. I’m sure there are others that have used this device, they just don’t come to mind.

It’s my theory that Richard Thompson loved the word “trebuchet” and everything about it.

Now to talk with Dill’s parents about having their older sons getting busy with regular old shovels. At no cost to the Otterloops.

Sir, A Mr. Jon Snow from Winterfell is here.

    He seems very exited.

He asks, if you have a new Snow Blower?

Dad has got a bit of work to do. Reminds me of when the plows would block all our driveways early in the morning with huge piles of snow.

Shouldn’t that be: a trebuchet snowblower? If it is a snowblower trebuchet then that means it flings snowblowers as its ordnance.

A trebuchet is a particularly efficient variety of catapult.

Last panel, lower left-hand corner; is that a glimpse of Petey’s body with a bent shovel?

How clever of Trebuchets-R-Us® by the Brothers Wedekind! Now they can make the circuit of Cul de Sac offering the services of their new and mighty snowblower to clear newly-blumped sidewalks or driveways, for a nominal fee, of course! (Don’t you dare call it extortion!)

If I ever find the right context, I will use blump in a sentence.

Love those hats. They must have been fun to draw—and such good fits for the characters.

Dill’s brothers have three likely career paths: Mad scientists, evil geniuses, or a jobs working at NASA.
