I think they should put a disclaimer on cable news that it’s not real and for entertainment only

Cable news for all the right of center viewpoints from a little to infinitely right.,

My wife once wisely said, “The problem with cable news is that they treat news like gossip, and gossip like news.”

Some of the articles on the satire site, The Onion, are hard to distinguish from reality. Trump is particularly hard to satirize.

All news has a political bent. They only want one thing, to divide us as a country

The spin is what’s disturbingly hypnotic.

HDTV has got something to do with it. You couldn’t resolve Uncle Walter’s 6" eyebrow hairs.

If his name’s Wolf, then it’s probably a whisker.

ANOTHER REASON that I’m glad as hell that I live somewhere WITHOUT Cable television!

I’m guessing that she’s watching Alfalfa on The Little Rascals

What would please me about the news would be if every news channel treated the current resident at 1600 as being sent to Coventry, i.e., omitting any mention of him at all. Deny him any space whatsoever. Then there might be room for actual news of the US and the world, some of which is actually better than what is being shown in the little spaces between ads.

My wife OTOH watches C-SPAN, says that they do not “spin” the news

How can anyone watch that stuff?

Humm. They sort of have that “deer caught in the head lice” look. Whatever that is.

This is why I have a beaf with all news. From CNN, they do not know a thing about guns and they used a hack General to push their agenda.

We stream (no cable) and get CBS (fixated on politics) BBC (fixated on BoJo and the terrible pandemic numbers, and maybe DJT) CBC (pick and choose articles, good regional coverage) and Global (Canadian news with the same screaming ads over and over)

I remember watching Sarah Palin’s lips sparkle and her hair glisten on Fox, then thought, “Wait, what the heck is she saying?”

Cable news isn’t even entertainment!

There are several alternate realities on cable news. Far left, far right, and far out are just three of them.

One day, girls, you will look at yourself in the mirror and see one of those crazy eyebrow hairs. Getting old is weird.

I look at as much news from as many different sources as I can to disseminate the truth. I seem to get better news outside of our country then from inside our country. It’s so sad that every news agency in the US has a bias or slant that compels them to not tell the whole truth or to not fact check anything. I remember when they all started to look and act like the National Enquirer. I knew then that this country was headed for big trouble.

I had to go and get my hair cut – I was invited to chair a discussion section at an industry event. It was during the pandemic, so it was virtual, and my “meatloaf” look wasn’t working. So, I’m masked up at the barber and the stylist is cutting my hair – but keeps looking at my face. Finally, I ask, “what?” Her reply, “Can I trim your eyebrows? They are just bothering me.”

Sounds like Danae and Kate are watching an old 60 Minutes episode with Andy Rooney gripping about modern life. Man, he had some seriously long bushy eyebrows.

I heartily disagree with that assessment.

Just in time! The girls are back!!! Oh thank you, thank you! After last week! I needed my Danae and Kate back in my life!! Even if it is way off the subject, but then…. YAY!

I read somewhere that Fox News is replacing its last hour of news in the evening (defining “news” loosely, I assume) with more opinionating.

An elderly tuba player I played with had his bushy white eyebrows protruding at least an inch past the tops of his glasses.
