Looking at those tattoos, it’s probably for the best.

I can’t understand someone wanting to be marked up like a port-o-let….

While I have admired a lot of the ‘body art’ I have seen, I have always been curious about why some go to such great lengths. There’s a big difference between a flower or MOM and the full body wrap. I wonder, do people tattoo to show off, to display the kind of art work that appeals to them, or promote a more personal kind of artwork, or to distract from something about themselves that they think is not attractive? I’m Just asking, not criticizing.

As to crosswords, years ago, I knew a guy who did the New York Times crosswords, still a challenge, in ink and in about 5 or 6 minutes. He took about 10 to do the Times of London. He said TOL took longer because of the cultural differences between the two. Probably true. When I was stationed in Mildenhall, Eng, in the 1960’s, it usually took a few seconds longer to translate English colloquialisms into Americanese, then into usable info. Just made conversations more interesting over a few ales.

That guy then criticized Frank’s lack of exercise, particularly his “moobs”. It was tit-for-tat.

It’s really annoying when you make a mistake in a crossword.

Crossword mistakes…don’t fall to pieces.
