Over-amped that throw just a smidge!

I love this family so much

So adorable that he’s fixing a pencil sharpener. And the football landing on the box of tacks — isn’t that just the way?

It ain’t a fit night out for man nor beast.

Also, I took it to be a fishing reel, but now I’m not sure.

And the first four panels put me in mind of a human-to-werewolf movie transformation.

But here, WallaceDad-to-SterlingDad.

That’s what you get from hiding from reel life, Dad.

A perfect storm of events!

I thought it was a pencil sharpener at first, then I realized is was a fishing reel.

Now Dad has something else to fix…

I love the way you story-boarded this.

It wouldn’t take much more to animate the scene.

Never thought of “Tsh” as the sound of breaking glass!

I’d blame it on the Seagull. He’s nowhere to be found.

This is not so much a strip to have a belly laugh at as a series of lovely details. All the little homely things in someone’s workbench, I even love the depiction of the box of tacks, the small bits and parts, the tools…It’s also a great way to demonstrate how to show emotions in a comic strip through the use of hats. Calm and relaxed in the first panel, jumping up startled in the second, simmering in the third, and leaving in the fourth. You wouldn’t even need to look at Dad’s face to know what was going on.

I think its a fishing reel he is repairing.

Just another day in the life.

Fix window. Find parts for reel. If successful, rebuild reel. If not, reel becomes spare parts or junk. Make boys participate in tasks.
