If we have to settle for a decent human being and nothing more, then the candidate who is a decent human being is still WAY BETTER than the candidate who is the world’s biggest @-hole.

Although I have zero respect for Banker Joe I still hold him in much higher regard than the Orange Buffoon. I also hold the debris from my wife’s guinea pig’s cages in much higher regard than the Orange Buffoon. I’m glad I live in NY so I won’t have to sacrifice my principles by voting for the lesser loser.

That Trump as been such a disaster Biden is a huge contender speaks loudly in itself. It may have been nice to have an FDR running, but that was wholly unnecessary.

If you really believe the U.S. wouldn’t be better off if Biden wins, I feel sorry for you, Mr. Rall.

Despite hand wringing from pundits, if Democrats win they should enact a truly transformative agenda and fully prosecute Trump – (businessinsider.com)

They should enact a fully transformative agenda (ignoring everything conservatives say and leaving them out of the process ala the TCJA), undo almost every EO Trump signed (within the first 10 days), re-instate all the Obama EOs Trump retracted, pass laws to prevent the next Trump from getting so much power, and allow investigations into Trump’s dealings. You can’t prosecute without a fair and transparent investigation.

We need to erase Trump, erase Trumpism, and protect our democracy in the future. This is the most corrupt administration in our history and we can’t set precedent that you can be this corrupt and get away with it or there will be even worse in the future.

I look on Ted as a purity pony. Imagine an airliner full of passengers. The flight attendant is going down the aisle with a food cart. The offerings are cooked chicken breast with a vegetable or a fresh plate of large animal manure with broken and ground glass mixed in. The undecided will pause for a moment and ask how the chicken is cooked. The purity ponies like Ted will spite the chicken and take the manure because the vegetable is not what they wanted.

Wow, Blondie boy has a short term memory, as unfortunately most Americans, he can’t remember more than six months. A year ago the economy was booming and we had record low unemployment. Trump didn’t crash the economy, the required response to Covid-19 did, as we can see world wide all countries have suffered from the virius.

Is Joe Biden, at this point, really any more senile than Ronald Reagan in his day? OTOH, is he was, that would be a very bad sign.

Biden is not my favorite—I really don’t much like any Democrat except for AOC—but he’s not senile. If he’s elected, and I very much hope that he will be, our job is just beginning. The Democrats have to be convinced that there is no responsible Republican Party left, and it’s no use trying to compromise with them. We will need a comprehensive reform program to put the country and the economy back together in a way that protects the climate. The Democratic Party isn’t going to like that, so we will have to push them hard. In addition, we need the big money out of politics, and we need automatic voter registration. Police reform is clearly a priority. And schools need to be equally and adequately funded across the whole country, not county by country. I’m just getting going.

I see people like Bennihanna are ignorant of the fact that not every country tanked their economy the way Trump did ours. Try reading something beside qanon.

Has Trump fixed the ingrained poverty and inequality? Does your infrastructure look to you as if its been ‘made great again’? Do you feel safer than you did four years ago? Do you have better social services? Well funded centres for disease control? Have mass shootings stopped yet? No? Well, why not try something else?

Whoever is elected will have a long-lasting economic recession and a pandemic to contend with in their term of office. Even if they manage that well, they and their party will be associated with misery and hardship for a generation. The recession will be long, deep and global and will be the key to the 2024 election.

It might be better, if you can be patient for four more years, to re-elect Trump. It gives the Dems/other parties a chance to come up with a much stronger, more viable candidate for 2024 who will sail into the WH with an unsullied reputation. Meanwhile the worst excesses and policy failures of Trump will be manifest to even some of his diehard supporters.

It seems like almost all comics today were encouraging people to vote. I half expected to get to Rall only to find him encouraging people NOT to vote.

Look for a lot of “senile dotard” jokes from Rall in future. That’s all he has left. It’s going to be like that comic strip “The Comic Strip That Has A Finale Every Day”
