Smart thinking???

I put mine in Amazon boxes and leave them on the front porch. Same for kitty litter.

Duh, I guess! After all they are all filled with gold leaf.

Clever…..except whey they make the discovery…..

According to the city, I’m supposed to gather all the leaves at the curb. I have about 4 feet of curb space at the end of a 300 foot driveway. I don’t think I could stack leaves 3 stories high. Fortunately, I just blow them back into the woods from whence they came

Don’t rake, mulch.

Some people bring the bagged leaves home to use as mulch or compost.

My Dad put some stuff by the side of the road with a Free sign on it. Sat there for a couple of days. He changed the sign to $20 and it wasn’t 2 hours before someone had stolen it.

During spotty trash pick-up over the spring and summer (due to Derp Furor botching the Covid-19 response), people were packaging trash in old Amazon boxen, and leaving them outside for porch pirates.

‘One man’s trash is another man’s treasure’.

Mulch obliged.

Seems like I heard a story years ago about a New Yorker who did something similar (only he used Christmas wrapping paper and an unlocked car) during a Garbage Hauler strike…

When several palm fronds fell off the palm tree outside my place in Santa Barbara, I stuck a sign on them “Palm Fronds $1.50 each” I hoped someone would steal them. That didn’t work but a local newspaper photographer happened by; I saw the sign and fronds in the paper the next day.
