MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that he saw nothing criminal in Hunter Biden’s past business ties with Ukraine or Russia, marking out his disagreement with one of Donald Trump’s attack lines in the U.S. presidential election.
Putin also reacted with visible irritation when asked about comments Trump has made concerning Putin’s ties to the former mayor of Moscow, and to an alleged payment made to Hunter Biden by the ex-mayor’s widow. Putin said he knew nothing about the existence of any commercial relationship between Hunter and the woman.

A skunk may get run over, and it might seem that it arrogantly refused to avoid it (unfortunately, I’ve run over several and so it seemed to me). But a skunk has its final revenge, since the smell from its ruptured scent gland lingers over a wide area for days. If one compares Trump to a political skunk having been run over, his stench would stay for years. (—
With the WH announcement yesterday that they won’t be doing anything else to control COVFEFE-45 (as if they did much in the first place), I was thinking how other critical junctures in U.S. history would have been handled by presidents with Trump’s mentality:
June 26, 1963: Instead of saying“Ich bin ein Berliner" and staring an airlift to break the land blockade of West Berlin, President John F. Kennedy replies “whatever, dude” and doesn’t lift a finger;
March 4, 1933: In his inaugural address, President Franklin Roosevelt announces “we have nothing to fear”, continuing the laissez-faire attitudes of his predecessor who did nothing to help people survive the Great Depression;
April 12, 1861: President Abraham Lincoln says that the southern states are just fighting for state rights and the ability to govern their peoples as they see fit and declines any offensive actions following the attack on Ft. Sumter
January 20, 2009: Shortly after taking office, President Barack Obama declares that he’s not responsible for fixing the banking/financial meltdown caused by subprime loans
“Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender!” —Winston Churchill, Report to House of Commons, 1940 June 4
“We are not going to control the pandemic.” —Mark Meadows (1959- ) White House Chief of Staff under President Trump, 2020 Oct. 25
Maybe Trump is pivoting to try to get the sympathy vote, since he’s obviously becoming irreversibly deranged. Personally, nope, don’t feel sorry for him yet. Maybe when various body parts start falling off in the middle of his rallies.
He’s up and running around Pa. today despite calls from doctors to cancel his super-spreader events. WGAL interrupted “Gunsmoke” ten minutes from the end of the program to show him stomping around at the Lancaster airport this afternoon. They could have waited those ten minutes or put that trash on 8.1. God knows there’s nothing on NBC worth wasting electrons for.
They are working on the counter narrative of the Biden family is the ones who laundered money, works with Russia and are corrupt not Trump an his brood.
Based on his record, the Capo-in-Chief’s incompetence and and will rise to levels that are not only unheard of, but also never even imagined, even in the fevered nightmares of our most fearful citizens.

Maybe it’s me, there seems to be a general malaise in the strips lately. I suspect, the artists are as weary of trump and his rats, as the rest of us.
Hang on kids, the finish-line’s in sight. Pray to whatever deity you like, for a good outcome.
