Where i live we hardly ever get any snow. I do wish the leaves would cooperate and fall all at once.

Only two seasons in Tucson this year—-really, really hot is giving way to merely hot.

Thursday: Grass is growing slower and there is a healthy carpet of leaves covering the lawn.

Friday: About three inches of snow.

Saturday: Another healthy layer of leaves.

I’m reminded of an Oreo cookie.

That’s why they call it “Fall” ! Our area will see it’s first snow today if the weather folks are correct ;-)

We have many oak trees, their leaves go from green to brown and have been falling for almost a month so far.

We had a nice extended period of about two weeks of gorgeous color in our maples this year. The leaves held about twice as long as usual.

For the first time in about 5 years, here in Southern Kentucky we REALLY have some nice fall colors! We had a lot of rain in the later part of the Summer and earlier in the Fall, so the trees really are putting on a show.

We went from summer heat wave and drought to winter rains in three days. It has been raining for nearly every day for the last month and a half, the trees are still struggling to adapt.

In the past when the leaves turned color early we could blame it on acid rain.

I didn’t know they were in North Idaho! We had nice fall weather and then one day, 7 inches of snow, now nice fall weather again. Even the plants are confused.

In Fairbanks, AK, the hardwood trees all lose their leaves within a week. I said they shed their leaves like strippers!
