Moscow Mitch the Rump’s bitch was spouting praise over RBG just before he will take a dump on her legacy.

Just doing his job as he sees it. Which has nothing at all to do with the law, the constitution, morality or his duty to his constituents.

Mitch is the biggest threat to a democratic United States, even beating out Donnie because he has refused to rein in the Orange Dirigible. Unfortunately, I read he’s ahead of the polls in Kentucky even though his policies in the Senate have hurt his constituents there.

Let’s see a show of hands from those who believed Mitch was being truthful about his motives in stonewalling Obama’s nomination of Garland in 2016.

A reporter asked Speaker Nancy Pelosi if the Dems were going to impeach Trump and/or Attorney General Barr if they try and appoint a justice to replace RGB. “No,” she replied, “But we still have plenty of arrows in our quiver.” Meaning the Dems will likely do what they can to delay any appointments Trump (and McTurtle) try and make (much like they delayed Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination for as long as they could). And, I am hopeful that we can hold off any appointments between now and the election (as well as the “lame duck” congress between Election Day and Holiday Recess). So that when/if Biden is elected (and hopefully, the Senate flips from red to blue), Biden will have the opportunity to nominate RGB’s replacement (as well as Clarence Thomas, who recently announced his plans to retire after the high court’s upcoming term, starting next month).

Of course it’s “different” now – now Republicans control both the White House and the Senate. They’re only interested in letting the voters decide when they do not have control of both…

The only reason I dislike McConnell more than Trump is that I believe that Trump long ago lost the ability to be other than the horror he has made himself and is now hopelessly (notice I did not say “helplessly”) on that path; “hopeless” because I really believe that his brain literally has lost the ability to function with any connection to anything outside himself.

True story: years ago I was driving through my neighborhood on a Saturday afternoon to the local grocery store. As I neared the store I encountered three of four drivers being rude, pushy, aggressive. Then I noticed they were all pulling into the same parking lot I was. I sat and watched as they all marched into the grocery store, taking note of them to be fore-warned should I meet them inside. And I did meet them inside. But, LO AND BEHOLD! Out of the protective shell and relative anonymity of their cars and behind non-protective shopping carts, they were, if not pleasant, at least courteous and non-aggressive. Therein lies the secret to why so many people say of Trump, after a one-on-one-I-don’t-work-for-him meeting that he was pleasant and charming: face to face he is a weak baby who will not create unpleasantness for himself. He will wait for the anonymity of tweeting or having somebody else do his unpleasantness — or until he thinks he has somebody at his mercy. That is Donald J. Trump.

Power = money. Moscow Mitch, Leningrad Lindsey, and pet “pidgin” Grassley are not going down without a fight on how America’s judicial system will look. They are all stuck in the 1950’s, thinking that they can have a conservative country through the judiciary. It won’t work. Ageing boomers will be replaced soon enough by millennials who intern look at America on a more liberal plane. Patience is the key. These old farts can’t live forever, can they?

Many of the above comments point to a ‘conclusion’ that McConnell has done more to damage civil and social justice in the past 10-15 years than any other American!

If we can’t turn this around, we may have lost our democracy already! Please vote blue up and down the ticket. If we can’t get rid of the conservatives in every form!
