Those hornets, along with the killer bees of the southwest, seem more to be feared in abstract than in fact. The latter have not even been mentioned in the news for years.
Don’t misrepresent other cultures, Mr. Cartoonist. Swamis don’t do soothsaying. Jyotishis are the ones who do astrology, and they don’t use any crystal balls.
Murder hornets? Killer Bees? Fire ants? I’m thinking either Mother Nature is upping her game, or we are getting way more dramatic naming bugs. What next Stiletto Butterflies?
