On ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption, I’ve seen many time when they pan in at the start, the hosts Tony and/or Wilbon will have their suit or sports jacket on top., and shorts, sandels, … on the bottom. Of course you can’t see that normally since they’re behind a desk.
Went to a friend’s wedding shortly after college. Another friend showed up as a guest, dressed “semi-formal”. He’d rented a tux and was wearing the jacket, shirt, bow tie, and cummerbund, but with shorts and sneakers.
This led to my best man showing up to my (casual – I was wearing a nice shirt and jeans) wedding wearing a suit jacket and tie, and Hawaiian-print shorts.
I remember when Linda Ellerbee, seated at a desk on NBC News Overnight, revealed that she was dressed formally only from the waist up. I don’t remember if she revealed what she was wearing below. I think that Stephen Colbert recently did reveal his casual shorts and sandals.

Well that could make them both cry.

And a half-dozen entrepreneurs read this strip, gasped with delight, and ran to get investors.

Same idea for the tux. And no pants for either one.

That actually looks good, but I suggest matching white shorts.

Doing what Ed Sullivan did to Elvis—-photographing him from the waist up.

Oh, yay. MORE wedding, MORE wedding, MORE wedding! (P.S. I’ve never had one but have enjoyed many vicariously!)
