REALLY annoyed at the huge decrease in opportunities to boo, hiss, scream, and otherwise aggravate the Astros. Not that I would ever be there in person but it’s a great comfort safely at home. I guess I answered my own comment, except that apparently there will still be nothing to boo-hiss at.
Oh, YAY, YAY, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s PERFECT!!! My day is made. (i got behind reading the strips)
I got behind and read this one first. I thought when Tank said the boss thinks he should, he meant Barb.
That was my second thought, after “YES! FINALLY!!!!” Let her say yes! it can be a year’s worth of ’toons planning the wedding.
And CHOSEN, dude!
I have to agree with you. I am a hermit at baseline, so this is not a big change. Also, I am tickled to death to no longer be hit in the rear end by the shopping cart of the impatient person behind me in line. But what is hard is my job in long-term care is watching the heartbreak on the faces of residents and their families for the lucky few who are able to view their relatives through the window; others just don’t see anybody familiar any more. I find myself nearly weeping for the same family members who have irritated the hell out of me in the past and I hope will do so again in the near future. I’d rather they bugged the life out of me and their aunt/mother/father/grandparent/uncle/brother/sister could see them again and not be hugging themselves along with the person outside their window.
Chip Dunham, just in case you ever read these comments, I’d like you to know that Overboard is one of my coping mechanisms during this wacky and unprecedented time. So, as before and always, thank you. You are appreciated and your work is beloved.
Maybe this year we can avoid the annoying phenomenon of “fans” leaning WAY out over the field to catch a ball in play.
