… and the red-hat state legislature would actually vote to make it legal for the perps to do so.

Eh, my first wife was from Pittsburgh. It’s a pretty nice town, as such things go.

Thus leading in to the “Candy, little girl?” comment Mike’s still likely too bad with women to make.

Heh, me too: 32 Hunt Street (the building doesn’t exist any more, razed for a parking lot a couple years aback), GR1-0646.

I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, and I went barefoot from May to September, damn near non-stop. We had freedom back then that parents would be arrested for giving their kids now, and it’s a crying shame, because it was my generation who started the whole “OMG something MIGHT HAAAAAPPPPEN!!!!!” garbage.

And how many parents out there (especially the accidental ones) agree, at some point? Parenthood is a damn tough row to hoe. No one should be taking that on who didn’t buy into it wholeheartedly from the start.

There’s a classic German commercial which you can find on YouTube. Young father with his toddler in the market, and the toddler wants some candy. Father won’t let him have it, and toddler goes into a COMPLETE meltdown, screaming his head off and smashing displays, while the father’s face goes increasingly discouraged.

    It’s a condom commercial.

Your pitcher serves up a tape measure shot, and THAT’s the first question out of your mouth? (Me, I’d ask when my team colors changed to lime green and black, but eh, that’s me.)
