They both do more good for society as a whole than for the individual user. And this administration is doing what it can to quietly keep us from having sufficient access to both.
Well, as incredulous as it sounds, media articles today report that Trump is serious about adding his mug to Mt. Rushmore!!! I’m waiting for an “Executive Order” to make it so any moment!!!
There was a time when politics in the U. S. was Coke vs Pepsi… I mean the Democratic Party vs the Republican Party. No more. It’s now the Democracy Party vs Anti-democracy Party.
David Frum, who should know, nailed it, and warned the world about it, well over two years ago: “If conservatives become convinced that they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy.” https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/01/frum-trumpocracy/550685/
Ignore Agent Orange’s comments. That are a distraction to pull his enemies chains. Keep the House focused on malfeasance in the administration, the media on what is really happening in the administration and with COVID-19. In the lead up to the 2016 election, I told students in my class that not voting was the worst option. It meant giving up on one’s primary role as a citizen in democracy. I told them I would respect them more if they voted for the candidate I thought was an idiot than if they chose not to vote. Only 53% of eligible voters voted in the 2016 election. In addition to what is happening nationally, we the citizens must act locally. If you live in a state with a republican governor, work very hard to understand and reveal efforts by Republicans to limit the vote. Here in Wisconsin we have a democratic governor and a right wing state Supreme Court. Republicans can’t stop voter registration in Wisconsin’s largest counties. Citizen can register online for mail-in ballots. I am already registered for fall elections. Ballots can be dropped off locally. The Milwaukee mayor has already made neighborhood libraries locations for ballot drop off so the postal service is not required for ballot return. If you live in democratic controlled states, understand what the fall voting mechanism will be and work to maximize the vote. Tom Toles cartoon has a blue ballot box with red trim. It is bi-partisan. I am hoping it is the ratio of the outcome in a very large election turnout.
Trump is sabotaging the Post Office three months before an election. Republicons active in voter suppression. Trump says in person voting is fraught with corruption, just like mail-in ballots, unless you live in Florida. Any normal person think that Trump really wants an election at all?

I have a mask that I haven’t used. I haven’t left the house since February. I’m mostly housebound anyway, so my reasons for going out are doc visits which are by phone now and the monthly dinners in our neighborhood which are canceled for now.

Republicans have proved that voting for them is dangerous to your health and detrimental to your country. They don’t believe in governance.

Masks and Votes are protections
‘gainst Covid and Trump resurrections,
or else we get re-infections
from the Covid-with-Trump intersections.
