You would need a high powered rifle or be an expert marksman with a handgun to be able to defend yourself. I wonder if word got around in Portland and some people ran. If so, what happened? As a side note, when I lived in So Cal I had a couple encounters with CPB personnel. They were arrogant pricks. The Orange Buffoon must go. You would have every right. Unfortunately, unless you are clearly identified as a white, conservative, gun rights advocate, it is very likely that you will be gunned down and your killing will be justified by the authorities.

After what happened to Ahmaud Arbery, why would anyone believe it’s a good idea for armed, masked, non-identifying individuals hopping out of an unmarked vehicle to grab a person would be a good idea? Only a matter of time non-government affiliated domestic radicals start using this.

Unfortunately, judging by what has happened in cases where unidentified police make unannounced invasions of people’s homes and those people attempt to defend themselves, often being gunned down by those police in “self-defence” against deadly weapons like golf clubs as a result, the law is likely to disagree.

This is still the U.S.A., and not yet ruled by Putin as tRump seems to be and Rall works for. I’d suggest and advise you and as many witnesses as can, record each and every incident. The courts still work here.

For a whole lot of people protesting, what Rall is suggesting would be an instant death sentence.

For a middle-aged white male, maybe not. But just maybe.

The problem here is illustrated both in reality and in the comic.

The “unidentified” men are clearly wearing large block letters on front and back that say “POLICE”.

I have yet to see a cop in full tactical gear with a name tag, but no one says a word about it. And, BTW, pretty much every LEO department owns and uses unmarked vehicles.

So Ted, if you decide to act on your little fantasy please be aware that even the most liberal prosecutor is going to be kind of upset that you shot a man clearly visibly identified as a LEO.

Now if you want to discuss the alleged failure to announce the arrest and Mirandize on the street…that is a serious topic that needs to be addressed. If the arrests and detentions took place as alleged the officers involved need to be disciplined, fired and possibly even prosecuted.

Don’t any of you know about riot guns? They’re called that for a reason. You can usually get a High Standard K-1200 Riot Gun, 12-gauge, 7 rounds with 1 already in the chamber…or safety first as I fly, 6 in the tubular magazine. First 2 or 3 rounds, double-O buckshot. Remainder, deer slugs to take out futhermuckers running away up to 30 yds or so. $275 shiny brand new tops most cities.

It would probably help to hang close with a group of sober friends, with everyone armed. I’ve found that thugs are somewhat put off by the prospect of being on the receiving end. Deterrence is better than return fire.
