BAD luck? Better (on average) pay with less risk of being crushed by a 330 pound defensive end.

He had the “bad luck” of leading Wake Forest to its worst season in 30 years. Hey, those are the breaks, right?

“Corina” adjusts? Do they mean Corina Karenna or some other Corina? I’m befuddled by the ambiguity created by failing to specify a complete legal name.

P3 True does the sniff test on his armpit!!! Alternatively, he blows some stink towards GilPa!!! Is Wake Forest happy having their name associated with this nonsens???

P1, At least Corina protected her balls.

P2, Now all she has to do is adjust enough to make that look like a strike.

P3, You’re a strong man Standish. Maybe a bit too strong.

I’m now thinking Tru(e)‘s been dying his Wake Forest t-shirts to match the uniforms of the Last Chance League team he’ll be playing for. That’s why he’s scouting the VM players. Tough league, gotta be able to handle a butter knife. Cor looks like a young Johnny Bench at the position, but will Mom let her turn pro?

Next in the set of pitches is the signal to intentionally walk the next six batters.

Gratuitous EES, check. WAP!, check check.

P3- Gee Gil, like you’re really taxed for time. Can’t keep up with a guy who wins you a state football championship? True is like the son you never had. Wait! Didn’t you have a son? And a daughter? And a cute little dog? Something smells here and it’s not True.

“Bad luck. I was diagnosed with that Bader problem, Wake Forest wouldn’t change the school colors for me, and they wouldn’t accept my major in Driver’s Ed. I had all those transfer miles from Hawaii! You can’t diss The Truth and expect me to stay, can you Coach?”

Could it be that Corina is Milford’s first 2-way player between girls softball and boys baseball? Probably not since they’re playing in the same season. But that would be interesting and ripe for snarking. And speaking of ripe, today’s Mopped Up Thorp is ripe and ready for reading.

Let’s see. What are the possibilities? The coach who recruited him was replaced? An even better QB was recruited? A freak injury that made it impossible for him to QB, but still able somehow to pitch? Something that led to the loss of his football scholarship, but didn’t prevent him from walking onto the baseball team? If he was still on scholarship couldn’t the football team prevent him from pitching?
