I liked Jefferson Airplane and many of the west coast bands. Many of the American artistes come to think of it. Those were great musical times. Man.

Raymond must be a lot older than he looks.

I’m just curious about the note by the author in the first panel, its hard to read.

Emmy Lou’s dad is thinking, “there goes a really bright boy. I think you blew it, Emmy Lou.”

I believe Marty Links’s writing says something like, “Dear Raymond—See you once[?] / again, in the funny papers— / Nothing personal— / Love [?] / The Author.”

I like all the classics, Hayden, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Bach, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakoff, Miller, Parker, Jobim, Gilberto, Getz, Lennon, McCartney…. Even oldies like Emmy Lou.

Speaking of the Airplane, Jorma and Jack are performing a live stream acoustic Hot Tuna concert tonight at 8 at Fur Peace Ranch Youtube.. Jorma has been doing live Quarantine Concerts on Saturday Nights since April and Jack drove from San Francisco to help do one last week and they plan to do a second one tonight.

A Hollywood producer called Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Jean Claude Van Damme into his office, told them he was planning an action-adventure film about famous composers, and asked them which composer they’d like to play. “Well, I’ve always liked Giacomo Puccini, so I’ll play Giacomo Puccini,” said Stallone. A strip signed by the artist! Valuable. Also pins down the time frame: Cream’s first LP Fresh Cream came out in 1967 — Jefferson Airplane’s first two LPs came out in 1966 and 67. I can’t make out the copyright date in the bottom of the strip on my screen.
