The least suffer the most. The dripping blood is most effective.

We’ve seen this theme before. Jacob Jackrabbit fell asleep and had a dream about bleeding eyeballs, during the pig murder story. The ‘forest’ is connections between pairs of realities, and usually they’re torrents; these look more like a petrified forest. It’s impossible to tell if they’re moving or still.

The Blood of the Innocents. I wonder if the Marx with the eye sacrificed himself to allow the others to rescue the people that were from other realities?

Good golly, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: we’re nearing the end of Endtown, aren’t we…? It’s going to be yet another reason to hate 2020, isn’t it…?

This looks like a moment of mourning for all that has gone before. BUT we do know some have been saved. Hopefully, it’s just this particular reality that’s finished. Hopefully.

Also curious. If the “eyes” are the real villains, apparently only the Marx’s can see them (usually; exceptions pointed out above), but mostly, only Marx’s can deal with them (as shown the other day) (and with consequences)!

There are 7 Marxses in the first panel. Only 7 viable realities left? Is this one lost too-like the candyman reality in Wally’s dream back at the beginning? Is the Marx with the red tears infected? Is he lost, too? Where’d they carry the…chosen ones to?

As I suspected. They were all gathered from timelines near the point of their deaths and are now all being returned. Remember, as far as I recall Endtown Marx was the Last Marx standing. This is why Endtown Marx is saluting them. The others were going to arrive at their destinations no matter what. Nothing change that… But thanks to Endtown Marx they ‘took the long way around’.

One thing of note, all of the Marx’s have 4 fingers so it appears none are from a “Cardoodles” reality. Although we know there was one gingerbread Marx, apparently not one from Endtown.

Also a symbol of death in some cultures, in this case, tears of blood, the Eden reality is gone. Which is why previously they were carrying off characters who could be essential to the current reality Wally, et al, are occupying.

The vote is unanimous but they aren’t agreeing on a happy outcome. Tears of blood is a religious symbol of mourning for Jesus – the ultimate sacrifice for all humanity.

I think they’re voting to close off this reality from all others due to the Eye becoming unstable. If they don’t, it will spread to other realities. The tears are for all the Innocents.
