Unless Protesting, or shooting a man in the back, kneeling on a neck, shooting an unarmed lady in her bed, choking them for selling cigs, choking them out for carrying ice tea, shooting them for jogging in YOUR neighborhood, shooting them when reaching for ID, etc. and so on. No mask required and no justice.

Poor Dana, always weeks behind. So sad.

Too bad Dana didn’t note that protests are outdoors, with people wearing masks. The data seems to bear that out.

So is this including more than the BLM protests (where masks were more prevalent than not), such as the white oppositional defiant disordered protestors claiming to be unable to breath. I see we’re going to be running an open field trial on this latter group in Texas. Resistance to Abbot’s mask mandate is running very high, as are the number of infections. And I doubt either is going to come down all that soon.

The irony is that if Texas, Arizona, Florida or California hit rate doubling next week, you’ll start seeing total travel bans on Americans by more than the EU. And any rational hope of reopening of the economy will be as delusional as Abbot’s and DeSantos’ rush to normalcy are proving out to be.

The Trump Death Cult trundles on with no clue about the fragility of empires.

Idiot. The PROTESTERS are wearing masks.

The #1 cause of “super spreading” is having a party. Over and over again we have seen this. In Boston, they tested marchers, and found that the incidence of COVID-19 was exactly the same as the rest of the state.

The real problem are REPUBLICAN-CONTROLLED STATES that never closed properly and are reopening too soon, and selfish fools who don’t wear masks because somehow their “liberty” means they don’t have to experience a mild inconvenience despite killing all those around them and themselves.

Dana evidently didn’t bother to view any of the protesting. A clear majority of the protesters WERE wearing masks.

Dana evidently didn’t view the protests very closely. Three things stood out about them: they were younger, they were integrated, and MOST OF THEM WORE MASKS. They made me proud.

“… it is unquestionably the case that black Americans have it worse than whites when it comes to police violence — something like three times as bad, in fact, which surely accounts for the focus of media coverage and obviously destroys Walsh’s larger argument that policing isn’t racist. But white Americans are still being killed by police at an abominable rate.”

What about police violence against white people? by Ryan Cooper, The Week, 06/09/2020.

Those anti science armed right wing protesters who refuse to wear a mask are spreading disease to every corner of the country.

Its insane the way the right wing is politicizing health care practices while taking away public health care at the same time. How can anyone be that stupid?

Republican federal polices have killed 130,000 and still going strong.

Guess what, Dana—Forbes magazine (not known for overly ‘liberal’ leanings) reports researched evidence that the protests DID NOT contribute to large-scale covid spread. GOP rallies, on the other hand, are just beginning to prove super-spreader events.

10000+ expected at Mount Rushmore. The Governor said no masks, no social distancing. How many cases reported later this month? 10000?, 20000?, 50000? And how many deaths around Labour Day? With any luck they’ll all be trumpfluffers.

Stopping a pandemic is important. Stopping centuries of discrimination and oppressions is important too.

Going to the beach or the bar. Not important.

Interesting fact. The evidence suggests that the BLM protests didn’t result in an increase in Covid-19.

You could argue that beaches don’t need to be closed because infection isn’t a big risk outdoors, where people are wearing masks. Hard to swim in a mask, though.

Bars? Anyone entering a room with a bunch of unmasked people talking too loud, is out of their mind.

    Not to worry, Trump Disciples.

One day, the virus will be gone, just vanished. Like a, you know, miracle.

Meanwhile, there is NO NATIONAL TESTING PLAN, NO data collection, NO analysis.

    NO PLAN AT ALL!

Not to mention that health workers CANNOT get the protective equipment they need.

    .

    But, we’re ‘winning’! Right?

Actually, BLM protests do not occur at beaches or bars, they occur outside, where the risk of spread is significantly lower. Also, they DO wear masks at fairly high rates. This comic is funny, and the artwork is quite good, it’s just not accurate, that’s all.

But the majority of protesters appear to be wearing masks…Well, not the anti-mask ones. That would hurt their “cause”.

Most of the BLM protesters I’ve seen do wear masks, while very few wear them at the beach – and none wear them at a Trump rally…

“We did have a rally in Bellingham, which is our county seat, and there was also a protest, and we have not been able to connect a single case to that rally or to the protest, and what we’re finding is in large part that’s due to the use of masks,” Erika Lautenbach, the director of the Whatcom County Health Department in Washington State, tells NPR’s All Things Considered. “Almost everyone at the rally was wearing a mask, and it’s really a testament to how effective masks are in preventing the spread of this disease.”
