Better than, “Let’s play cops and robbers. When I see Nathan on your bike, I will knock him down with my police car and then kneel on his neck until he dies,”

I would have expected Nathan wouldn’t be white in this cartoon , but then his name would have to be changed to sound more guilty. On the other hand, just leave him white and the president will pardon him.

What must it be like to have such a simplistic either-this-or-that mentality? To not be able to imagine something that is in between total non-responsiveness and murderous…. What a sad little man. Personally, I like the idea that the police are what the community which employs them says they are. If, for example, the community wants people who respond to mentally ill people in the middle of crisis with mental health experts, rather than cops who shoot them, I’m all for it. If the community wants Andy Griffith, I say say “Great!”

Kelley certainly pushes that special kind of stupid only he can. This is certainly Payne-level stupid or incredibly intellectually dishonest.

Better than “Cops and robbers” where Nathan takes your bike, the cops take a report, file it under ‘who cares’ and don’t even think about it until they see a black kid riding a bike that “must be stolen”…. we all know the rest of the story.

Any of my former colleagues, most of which served on psychiatric emergency teams, would happily educate you as to the difference in response and outcome when the intervention comes from a person with a master’s degree in clinical social work and a few years of experience – vs. a testosterone-fueled dude with a few weeks of POST training.

You be the president now and steal five hundred billion and the bike and then blame it on the black kid down the street and demand he go to jail.

I’ll Get the White police office to almost Kill you, and you will thanks him for doing his civic duty.

Oh sorry the kid with the bike isn’t brown.

Great story to explain the unequal nature of policing.:

This is a portrait of Mr. Kelley’s kids. The dialogue got more ominous, later.

A fellow conservative comic is saying that community responders are acting worse than the police. I wish you guys cold get together on what the narrative is.

Better that than cops looking to make their bones and kill a black man. After the McClinton case-someone calls 911 about a “suspicious” (aka black man) man walking down the street, three cops race code 3 to the scene, throw a 140 man walking home from the store committing no crime to the ground, put him in a carotid hold, he passes out and then they have an EMT to give him a injection that kills him.

Yeah, I’m convinced Kelley and his ilk just doesn’t understand the kind of police reform the BLM movement is seeking.

Another one of Steve Kelley’s exercises in idiocy. He should really put out a video “Eight Second Idiocy”. I bet it would be way more profitable than his cartoons.

This would be funny if it wasn’t so scary.

Right now several cities are planning to send out social workers (instead of police) for domestic disputes. I wonder how many will be injured or killed before the powers that be suddenly realize it was not such a good idea after all.

That’s not quite how it works, but still seems better than just gunning down a kid for stealing a bike.

To be clear, community responders are sent for situations such as mental health and drug problems, for which the police are relatively unprepared for. And I’m not sure where Mr. Kelley got the “ask you how you feel” part from. Under most versions of “defund the police”, there would still be a police department, it just wouldn’t be used alone for non-crime emergencies.

Andylit doesn’t want American law enforcement officers to be constantly murdered like they are in Britain because they don’t carry guns. More guns = less death. Gotta love conservative math. Maybe American math would be better if we pluralized it like they do in England. Yes, I think we need to re-visit the maths on cops carrying guns. . .

How about the two “guys” acting out various versions of a response to the girl calling 911 to complain of domestic violence.

Will anybody get shot? Maybe even her?

New York City has a huge jump in murders… the DEMOCRAT mayor wants to cut police funding by a billion dollars, and he writes graffiti in front of Trump tower. Great government there, but what else can you expect from Democrats? Well, take a look at Chicago and Mayor Lightfoot and their stunning rate of murders and shootings which she has utterly failed to reduce the tiniest bit. More Democrat government. Why is it that all the cities with massive shootings, homeless on sidewalks, FECES on sidewalks, rioting, burning, and destruction – are all Democrat cities, with government that does nothing to maintain order? Oh, because the Democrats approve of that. What else could it be?
