So what DID Trump do? He played golf. He held rallies. He denied, delayed, dithered, dillied and dallied, promised that it would never get here, and then that it would go away before April and even now says it is fading.
Now Trump has, as Mike Luckovich so effectively demonstrates, simply given up. He is waving the white flag. He has simply stopped talking about the leading health threat in the U.S. today. He is ignoring science. And his total and complete surrender has caused the U.S. to become the world leader in the number of COVID cases and deaths — with 4% of the world’s population, we have more than 25% of the cases and deaths.
The ass did an excellent job of sliming out of the task at hand by leaving it to the governors to compete for needed supplies. How much does the fed have in the untouchable stock pile?
King Donnie thought this was a hoax by Democrats to ruin him and the Repubicans. He also said testing was available for anyone that wanted one. When there were 15 cases, he said they would go down to none. He now says testing causes more infections to be found and encouraged states to slow testing. The red governors followed his advice and were ill prepared and then were abandoned by King Donnie. He is no president.
“President Trump on Wednesday stood by his belief that the coronavirus will eventually “just disappear” even as cases are surging in multiple states this week." And you know what, he’s right. As long as you don’t say when, when it finally happens, you can say “I told you so.” So, in six months, a year, or two or three, just wait for it. I promise he will say it. From jail, I hope.
